The Sacred Current: Sexual Energy, Distortion, and the
Return of the Fire
“Sexual energy is not a sin and it is not entertainment. It is a dense current that can make a life — or be copied, sold, and used to own people. This book maps the fire, the leak, the harvest, and the return.”

About This Book
The Sacred Current is a raw map of sexual energy as a living force — not as porn, not as a workshop, and not as a thing you have to hate in order to be good.
It begins in the body: what this current actually is, how it moves between root and heart, and how a culture trained us to spill it. It names the copy that replaced union. It follows the same voltage into power — markets, files, closed circles, and rooms that use ceremony to break a will — without writing a manual for any of them.
The last movement is the return. Not a personality built on streaks. A truce with the animal you live in. Work, breath, a real night with another adult, and a way to stay clean in a civilisation that will keep offering the leak.
This book is for people who are done with both shame and glamour. It will not make you holy. It will give you a measure: when the current moves, does life increase.

Prologue - Why This Book Exists
I did not want to write this book from a clean room.
I wanted to write it from the place most people will actually open it: tired of the loop, tired of pretending the loop is small, and tired of every conversation about sex being either a joke, a sermon, or a sales pitch.
Sexual energy is not a side topic in a human life. It is one of the main currents that runs through the body. It creates children. It creates art. It builds devotion. It also builds addiction, blackmail, empty rooms, and a kind of spiritual poverty that no amount of information can cover. I have known both sides of that current. I have used it to create. I have leaked it until there was nothing left in the morning but noise. I have felt the heat of it rise through the spine and I have felt the cheap version of it leave me hollow. I am not writing to you from a mountain. I am writing to you from a body that has had to learn the difference.
In The Awakening of Auri I opened this door and closed it too soon. Book IV named porn, leakage, sacred union, and the fact that this force has been hunted. Those pages were true. They were not enough. A subject this old and this misused cannot live as one section inside a larger book. It needs its own ground. It needs room to say what the current is before it says what was done to it. It needs room for the industry, the lodge, the marketplace, and the quiet decision a person makes when no one is watching.
That is why this book exists.
I am not here to scold you. If you have spent years inside images, habits, secret rooms, or relationships that took more than they gave, you already know the cost. You do not need a stranger to grade you. You need language that is accurate. You need a map that does not flinch and does not sneer.
I am also not here to baptise every impulse as holy. Desire is not automatically wisdom. Heat is not automatically love. “Sacred sexuality” has been used as a costume for the same old extraction. We will not do that here. If a practice feeds on shame, on someone who cannot consent, or on the breaking of a soul, it is not alchemy. It is harvest. The difference matters more than any tradition’s vocabulary.
This book moves in four movements.
First, the current itself - what it is in the body, what the older worlds remembered, what climax and containment actually do.
Second, the leak - how a culture teaches you to spill, what porn does to the nervous system and the field, what masturbation is when it is honest and what it is when it is a drain, and how shame keeps the split alive.
Third, the harvest - why power has always circled this voltage, what inverted sex magick is, what the marketplace of the current becomes, and how trafficking, closed bloodlines, and ritual abuse use sex as a tool of ownership. Those chapters are not entertainment. They are named so you can recognise a machine when it is standing in front of you. They will not teach the machine.
Fourth, the return - how a person takes the current back without hating their body, how the same fire becomes work and clarity, what union looks like when no one is performing, and how to live with this force after the book is closed.
I have tears in me for this subject and I will not pretend I understand every reason. Some of it is personal. Some of it is older than this life. Some of it is simply the relief of telling the truth in a culture that either sells the fire or buries it.
If you came here looking for technique to get more climax, this is the wrong book.
If you came here looking for permission to despise your own hunger, this is the wrong book.
If you came here because you can feel that this energy was never “just sex,” and you want to stop leaking it without becoming a person who cannot love - stay.
Read slowly. Put it down when your body needs ground. The current does not require drama. It requires presence.
The fire was never the enemy.
Forgetting what it was for - that was the wound.
We begin there.
Part I: The Current
Chapter 1 - What Sexual Energy Actually Is
Most people are given two stories about sex and neither of them is large enough.
The first story says sex is for making children. That part is true and it is not the whole current. The second story says sex is for pleasure. That part is also true and it is still not the whole current. Between those two sentences an entire human voltage gets reduced to a bedroom event, then sold, shamed, scheduled, or hidden.
Sexual energy is older than the act. It is in the body before anyone touches anyone. It is the heat that gathers in the pelvis when you are alive and not numb. It is the same force that makes you want to build, protect, enter, receive, make music, start a fight, start a garden, or pull another person close enough that the world goes quiet. Reproduction is one expression of it. Orgasm is one expression of it. Neither of them is the source.
Call it life force if that word still works. Call it creative voltage if you need something less religious. The older worlds called it by many names - ojas, jing, kundalini, the serpent, the sacred fire - and they were pointing at one thing: a dense current of aliveness that sits in the human body and can move.
It is not an idea. It has a location.
It lives low first. Base of the spine. Sacrum. Sex organs. The bowl of the pelvis. From there it can stay local, spill out, or rise. When it stays local you feel hunger, heat, restlessness, the need to move toward or away. When it spills you feel the brief flood and the drop that follows. When it rises you feel the same heat change its job - warmth in the belly, opening in the chest, clarity behind the eyes, a spine that is suddenly a channel instead of a stack of bones.
This is not poetry pretending to be anatomy. The nervous system, the blood, the breath, and the sexual organs are one circuit. Arousal is not a separate hobby the body does after work. It is the body turning up its voltage. What you do with that voltage decides whether you get creation, connection, children, art, devotion - or leakage, fog, and a hunger that never lands.
The current is not the climax
Climax is a weather event in the current. It is real. It can be clean. It can be medicine. It can also be the only language a person has left for a force they were never taught to hold.
If you think sexual energy is orgasm, you will chase the peak and miss the river. The peak is loud. The river is what built the peak. People who live only for the loud part often feel poor in the hours after, even when the act was technically successful. That poverty is information. The body spent a charge and received no meaning back.
If you think sexual energy is only for making a child, you will treat the rest of your adult life as leftover steam. That is how a culture gets millions of people leaking a creative force into screens, affairs, and numbness, then wondering why they cannot finish the work they came here to do.
The current makes children when it meets another body in the way bodies are designed to meet. It also makes books, businesses, recoveries, gardens, and the kind of presence that changes a room. Same fuel. Different vessel.
Charge, path, ground
There is a simple way to see this if you have ever looked at an electrical circuit.
Something has to generate. Something has to carry. Something has to receive and return.
In a human life the generating force is heat, desire, will, the solar push that says move. The path is the body - breath, blood, spine, attention. The ground is Earth, the other person, the work, the heart that can actually hold what rose.
Sexual energy fails in the same three ways a circuit fails.
No charge: the body is exhausted, ashamed, medicated, or so leaked that nothing gathers.
No path: the mind is elsewhere, the breath is locked, the heart is closed, so the voltage has nowhere to travel except out.
No ground: the fire rises and has nowhere to land, so it burns the system or dumps as anxiety, obsession, or collapse.
This is why “just have more sex” and “just stop having sex” are both too small. One adds charge with no path. The other cuts the generator and calls it purity. A living body needs the current to move and it needs somewhere honest for that movement to go.
It is already moving when you are not having sex
Watch a day without a sexual scene in it and you will still see the current.
It is there when you cannot sit still.
It is there when a stranger’s presence changes your posture.
It is there when you want to make something and the want has heat in it.
It is there when grief sits in the same bowl as desire and you cannot tell them apart.
It is there when you wake at 3am with a body that is loud and a life that has no place for that loudness.
Modern life treats that movement as a problem to discharge as quickly as possible so you can return to being useful. That is a industrial attitude toward a sacred voltage. The body is not a machine that overheats. It is a creature carrying fire. Fire wants a hearth, not only an exhaust pipe.
What it is not
It is not your worth.
It is not proof that you are awake.
It is not proof that you are fallen.
It is not a personality.
It is not a substitute for love, though love can ride on it.
It is not a weapon, though it has been used as one.
It is not only heterosexual, only genital, only young, only pretty, only partnered.
A person can be flooded with this current and still be cruel. A person can be quiet in the body and still be holy. Voltage is not virtue. Voltage is voltage. Character is what you do when it rises.
The sentence underneath every later chapter
If you take one thing from this opening, take this:
Sexual energy is creative life-force moving through a human nervous system. Sex is one of its languages. The culture you were born into taught you the loudest dialect and called it the whole language. The rest of this book is the rest of the language - including the dialects that were used to own people.
You do not have to believe in chakras to feel this. You do not have to believe in lodges to have been affected by a marketplace that sells the current by the hour. You only have to tell the truth about what happens in your own body when the heat gathers.
That gathering is the subject.
Not the performance.
Not the shame.
The gathering.
Once you can feel that, the next chapters stop being theory. They become a description of a river you already live beside.
Chapter 2 - The Body as Temple, Not Toy
A temple is not a museum and it is not a playground.
A museum is where you look and do not touch. A playground is where you use the thing until it breaks or bores you. A temple is a place a current is allowed to move with enough respect that the current does not wreck the room.
Your body is closer to the third than to the first two. It was built to carry voltage. It was not built to be stared at from a distance, and it was not built to be a disposable instrument for whoever is loudest tonight.
This chapter is about the room itself.
One channel, four rooms
You do not have a “sex part” sealed off from the rest of you. You have a channel.
Low in the body the current gathers - pelvic floor, sex organs, the heavy bowl that knows hunger and root. That is the first room. Without it there is no heat. People who live only in their heads often call this room dirty because they cannot feel it without panic.
Just above that, the belly and the sacral field. Movement, rhythm, the wish to create, the wish to join. This is not only genitals. It is the place a dance starts. It is also the place a habit starts when no one taught you another use for the heat.
The heart is the third room. If the current never reaches it, sex stays hungry and oddly lonely even when another body is there. If the current floods the heart with no root, you get romance that cannot stand up. The heart is not a soft extra. It is the valve that decides whether voltage becomes intimacy or just weather.
The head - throat, eyes, the quiet behind the forehead - is the fourth room. Speech. Seeing. Meaning. When the current rises this far without being stolen, a person gets clarity they cannot buy. When the current never leaves the first two rooms, the head fills with loops and images instead.
Root. Sacral. Heart. Head.
One river. Four rooms.
Close any room and the river has to flood another.
Male body, female body
Bodies are not opinions.
A male body and a female body are not the same instrument. Hormones, organs, cycles, the way arousal gathers and leaves - these are different weathers. Pretending they are identical is not kindness. It is sloppiness. A man who ignores the fact that his charge often rises fast and drops hard will keep mistaking a spike for a life. A woman who ignores the fact that her current is tied to cycle, blood, and a different kind of magnetic field will keep trying to run a male script through a female instrument.
That difference is not a ranking. It is design.
The male body tends to generate in a directed way: outward, goal-shaped, a current that wants a path. The female body tends to generate in a containing way: cyclical, receptive, a field that can hold and transform what enters it. Those are tendencies, not prisons. Plenty of men carry a strong field. Plenty of women carry a strong directed charge. The body you have is still the first teacher.
What the last decades did was mix two true things until both became unusable. One true thing: a woman is not a lesser man, and a man is not a failed woman. The other true thing: sexed bodies are not costumes. You can honour both without turning either into a political weapon.
Masculine and feminine are not the same as male and female
This is where people get loud and stop thinking.
Male and female are the bodies.
Masculine and feminine are the polarities that move through those bodies.
Masculine current initiates, directs, penetrates, holds a line, says this way.
Feminine current receives, magnetises, ripens, contains, says here.
You need both or the circuit dies. A man with no feminine in him cannot feel, cannot receive love, cannot let the current land. He becomes a spear with no earth. A woman with no masculine in her cannot choose, cannot close a door, cannot send the current anywhere on purpose. She becomes an ocean with no shore.
A male body usually carries more of the directed charge. A female body usually carries more of the magnetic field. That is not a law against the opposite. It is a starting weather. The work is not to become androgynous mush. The work is to let the quieter polarity in you come online so the louder one has somewhere to go.
Fifty-fifty is not the goal. A living circuit is the goal. Sometimes the day needs more fire. Sometimes it needs more ground. Balance is not a pose you hold for a photograph. It is a current that can move both ways without ripping the house apart.
The toy version of the body
A toy is picked up, used for stimulation, and put down. It does not get a vote. It does not get aftermath. It does not get to be tired, holy, or in love.
The toy version of sex treats skin as content. It treats another person as a device that produces sensation. It treats your own pelvis as a switch. That version works for a night and fails as a life because a nervous system is not a switch. It records. It bonds. It remembers who was present and who was only extracting.
You can feel the toy version in your own body without a partner. It is the session that leaves you more restless than you started. It is the image that needs to get rougher to do the same job. It is the morning after a climax when the room is the same and you are slightly less here.
The temple version is not fancy sheets and the right playlist. It is this: the body is the place the current is allowed to be fully on, and nothing in the room is being used as trash.
What respect actually is
Respect is not whispering. It is not calling every sensation “divine” so you never have to say no. Respect is simpler.
You do not override a closed body.
You do not use a person’s hunger as a handle.
You do not treat your own body as an enemy when it wants, or as a god when it wants.
You learn the difference between heat and yes.
You learn the difference between empty and open.
You learn that a temple can be quiet and still be alive.
If you have used your body as a toy, you are not disqualified from this book. That is most of us in one season or another. The body does not require you to have been perfect. It requires that you stop lying about what the rooms are for.
The current from Chapter 1 has a house now.
In the next chapter we look at the people who remembered the house before it was turned into a shop.
Chapter 3 - What the Ancients Knew
The ancients were not better than you because they wore linen and spoke in riddles. They were better on this one point: they did not pretend the current in the pelvis was a side activity.
They built rooms for it. They gave it priests and also gave it rules. They linked it to harvest, to kingship, to prayer, to the spine. Later ages called that superstition or pornography, depending on which door they were trying to kick down. Both insults miss the thing they were looking at.
They were looking at voltage.
Not a costume
A lot of modern talk about “ancient sacred sexuality” is costume. Incense, a borrowed Sanskrit word, a workshop price. That is not what this chapter is for.
What the older worlds knew can be said without the costume:
The body carries a force that can make life.
That force can also open perception, bind two people, or wreck a life if it is used as trash.
Therefore the force belongs in a held space - temple, marriage, vow, discipline - not in the street as a toy and not in the cellar as a sin.
Different cultures dressed that sentence differently. The sentence was shared.
Temple
In more than one early world, sex and sanctuary were not opposites. The temple was where the community admitted that creation does not only happen in a field. It happens in flesh.
That did not mean the temple was an orgy with better lighting. A living temple is closer to a power station than to a party. Someone keeps the space. Someone knows when the current is for blessing and when it is for making a child and when it is not to be touched at all. When those distinctions collapse, you do not get freedom. You get a market.
Where temple prostitution appears in the record, you have to read with both eyes. Sometimes it was devotion. Sometimes it was economy wearing devotion’s clothes. The ancients were human. They could sanctify a current and they could sell it. The fact that a thing happened in an old city does not make it holy. It makes it old.
What is useful is the idea they were circling: sexual meeting as an act that belongs to the same family as prayer, because both are a human being opening a channel on purpose.
Tantra, without the brochure
Tantra, in the streams that were actually about this, was not “last longer.” It was not a bag of positions. It was a view of reality: the world is not a mistake, the body is not a cage, and the meeting of polarities is how the universe keeps existing.
Shiva and Shakti as names are less important than the physics they point to. Consciousness without life-force is empty sky. Life-force without consciousness is flood. Union is not two people having a nicer night. Union is those two poles remembering they were never separate.
In practice that could look like ritual union. It could also look like a life of breath, mantra, and a current moved up the spine with no second body in the room. Western marketing grabbed the first picture and sold it. The second picture is often closer to what the serious lineages were doing.
If a teaching needs you half-undressed before it has said what the current is, it is not an ancient teaching. It is a night with better vocabulary.
Kemet and the spine
Egypt left a symbol that still does the job: the djed. A pillar. Stability. A spine that can stand.
Whether or not every modern reading of Egyptian sex magic is accurate, the image is exact. A human being is a vertical channel between earth and sky. Sexual fire sits at the base of that channel. If the pillar is weak, the fire spills or burns. If the pillar is strong, the same fire becomes presence, sight, kingship in the old sense: a person who can hold charge without dumping it on everyone in the room.
That is not museum trivia. That is Chapter 1 in stone.
The ones who did not touch
Some of the oldest serious work with this current was celibate.
That word has been ruined by people who were afraid of bodies. Real celibacy, in the lineages that knew what they were doing, was not disgust. It was a decision about where the voltage would go. Essene communities, certain yogic paths, monastic streams east and west - the honest ones were not saying the fire was evil. They were saying: if I do not spend this outward, it becomes fuel for prayer, healing, endurance, vision.
That path is not superior to union. It is a different use of the same river. A person can choose it for a season or a life. A person can also fake it and become dry, cruel, and obsessed. Suppression wearing a robe is still suppression. Transmutation is when the heat is still there and it has a job.
If you cannot tell the difference in your own body, you are not ready to preach either path.
What later religion buried
Then came the long split.
Desire was called dirty.
Women were called the door of the problem.
Men were told their hunger was a test instead of a faculty.
The body was a temporary animal to be endured until a cleaner world.
Some of that came from people who had watched the current destroy households and tried to build a fence. A fence can be love. A fence can also become a prison that produces the very explosion it feared. Shame does not delete voltage. Shame drives it underground, where it gets stranger.
So you get the two-headed inheritance the modern West still carries: a church that flinches, and a market that will sell you the thing the church flinched at, in higher resolution, forever. Both of them are standing on the same forgotten knowledge. Neither of them will tell you the current is a faculty you can train.
What they actually knew, said simply
You do not need their calendar or their gods to keep the useful part.
They knew the pelvis holds a force that can create a human being.
They knew that force can be spent, shared, or raised.
They knew shared current binds.
They knew raised current changes the mind.
They knew spilled current, used as entertainment, makes people easy to steer.
They knew a culture that cannot hold this force will invent either a brothel or a ban, and often both.
That is the inheritance.
The next chapter is the part most modern talk skips: what climax does, what holding does, and why neither one is a personality.
